So why are Sweden hot Eurovision favourites when they haven’t even chosen their entry?

Sweden’s Melodifestivalen is X Factor, American Idol and Strictly Come Dancing rolled into one. Over about a billion weeks, TV shows and phone in votes choose Sweden’s Eurovision entry. Last year Eric Saade almost won it. This year the hot favourite to win in Stockholm on Saturday, Loreen, is already the big favourite for Baku. And we can see why. It could be a proper Ibiza summer club hit.
The likely winner – Loreen, Euphoria

Second favourite- Danny Saucedo
(Nice performance, shame about the voice)
Weirdest entry – Bjorn Ranelid – one of Sweden’s foremost crime novelists
Shame it didn’t get to the final – Sean Banan – awesome stage show
(The lyrics are brilliant – it’s about coming to Sweden as an Iranian immigrant, being cavity searched at the airport, loving Ikea, laughing at Eurovision, being a mincab driver etc)
